Chapter 5 - Hester at Her Needle

Question 1 After Hester's punishment she is given the choice of staying or leaving the colony of Salem. She chooses to stay. Why do you think she would choose this? To stay with the people who are actively shaming and belittling her? Would you have chosen to stay if you were in Hester's shoes?
